diet for gastriris

hey guys, i have gastritis nd its bugging the crap out of me, i cant smoke, i cant drink, i cant eat anything.

The doc said i have to prevent my stomach from being acidic, and perscribed me medication that blocks the acid pumps in my stomach. it give me lots of side effects so im just gonna change my diet.

if i water fast for a week, eating small amounts of food that dont agrivate the stomach (like boiled eggs - i think) would that help?

Cucumbers are alkaline, tomatoes are acidic.
